Do-it-yourself Tips to Prevent and Cure Dry Hands

Having chapped and dry hands are the usual problems that most women face. The drying of the hands occurs due to the lack of moisture in the skin because of the dry and cold weather. Another cause of dry hands is the frequency of washing the hands. Some people usually are fond of washing their hands or due to the nature of their work. Some hand soaps and detergents are very strong for some skin types.

How to Create High-Quality Backlinks the Search Engines Will
Love

One great benefit of article marketing is the generation of
high-quality backlinks.

Simply put, a backlink is a link to your website from another
website. There is a difference in quality of backlinks, and
search engines know the difference. When marketers first learned
that search engines rewarded websites that had many links from
other websites, they began to establish link farms (they traded
links with each other) that were nothing more than pages upon
pages of links. Clearly, these links were not helpful, either
for someone looking to follow a link, or for the search engines,
who at first supposed all the links meant a high-quality site
was being linked to.

As search engines got smarter, marketers realized they needed
links to be contextual: that is, there should be a body of
content (at least a paragraph) surrounding the backlink. This
new understanding defeated the purpose of link farms, and
marketers began to understand and see the value in article
marketing: They could write one article, send it to 100 or more
article sites, hopefully have it reprinted several times, and
have contextual (high-value) backlinks from a number of sources.

Generating quality backlinks is one of the real values in
article marketing. But search engines have gotten smarter still,
and they now tend to see this as a form of link spamming (though
not as bad as the link farms).

So how can a marketer engage in article marketing to generate
backlinks without appearing to spam? By subtly changing your
content for every 20 or so submissions you make. Some marketers
change the context immediately surrounding their website link,
which is good, but I suggest you go a step further and actually
edit your article a bit. If you aim for a 300 word article, and
you write 350 words, pare it down to your original goal and
submit your article to 20 or 25 sites.

Then, edit your article (and resource box) by working back in
the extra 50 words and removing others to create a very similar,
yet different, article (you can keep the same title). Submit
again to another 20 sites or so. You can do this over and over
again, because each time you rework your article (and your
resource box), you will change the content enough that it
doesn’t appear as though you are link spamming.

This is how you generate quality backlinks that search engines
love.

Speeding Fines: What You Can Do To Cancel Yours

Speeding your car on an empty stretch of road is fun and somewhat safe. But speeding your car on a crowded city road is not just unsafe but dangerous as well. In a bid to prevent motorists from crossing speed limits, the UK government has introduced around 7,000 cameras.

Nearly 3 million people were fined for over speeding and £121,200,000 were raided in fines. Almost 5,500 drivers have to pay speeding fines every day in the UK! Even if you are just a few mph over the limit, you can be fined £60 as well as 3 point penalty for speeding.

However, does catching the speeding drivers actually render the roads safer for you to use? It may not be the case because according to data, the total amount of speeding fines charged to over speeding motorists collected was £115.2 million! While the revenue increased, the road accidents also peaked during this period.

Speed Cameras – Bane or Boon?

With several thousand motorists being penalized for speeding by speed cameras, more and more motorists in Britain are now becoming desperate to avoid the speeding fines and point penalty. Besides, speed cameras are the best way to have safer roads. Let’s say you are driving at 80mph on an empty stretch of road, but don’t forget that your harmless act is being monitored and caught on the hidden cameras along the road. And soon enough you’re bound to be charged a speeding fine for this innocuous act of yours. So what can you do to cancel your fine?

Avoiding Speeding Fines

Now that you have been “flashed”, you can only wait for the NIP to show up at your doorway. Typically, the NIP is always issued to the registered owner of the vehicle. It contains all the important information regarding the offence such as the date of when you were caught speeding, the time when this happened, and the location. If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you are liable under Section 172 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 to give the authorities the name of the driver at the time the offence was committed. You must also complete all the necessary information concerning this driver.

One way to get by without paying the fine or attending the court is to play dumb by claiming that you aren’t aware of who was driving the vehicle when it was snapped. Ask the authorities for photographic evidence to prove that it was you at the driver’s seat. Fortunately for you, this maybe a good route to take since the camera may not have anything that can prove it was you and the ticket will most likely be dropped!

If you were the driver, you have two choices:

1. Pay the stipulated penalty to avoid the court hearing OR

2. Contest the charge by going to the court.

Now the minimum speeding fine is £60 as well as losing 3 points on your licence.

If you don’t wish to pay then you can challenge the notice and give your reasons for disputing the fines. You must also remember to carry any evidence you have to strengthen your cause.

For over 3 years my position as a Talent Coordinator/Production Assistant gave me the opportunity to experience working behind the scenes of the entertainment industry.

As a broadcasting major with accomplishments in Communications, I gained extensive knowledge, on what to look for in talent.

My duties included auditioning talents of all levels, coordinating audiences, interviewing video camera technicians/interns, as well as contributing script for the 1 hour variety show.

As a voiceover announcer, I periodically opened and closed the show, and contributed to the development of public service announcements.

My ability to spot aspiring talent early was something I took very seriously, and because of my knowledge and honesty, my advice wasn’t questioned by aspiring artists.

I have been asked on a number of occasions to manager talent, however had to refuse the requests for different reasons. Each was extremely talented, but unable to accept the type of advice I had. Take care of your addiction, associations, and come back and talk to me.

As the Administrative Assistant to the Director of a west coast Talent Management agency, my opinion was respected in the selection process of talent. Models, actors, singers and dancers were considered, and sent down to our Los Angeles office where they would then audition for commercials, TV pilots, and other on camera spots.

While working alongside a producer who recruited talent from the streets, I would accompany him on shoots. Our goal was to find a certain ‘type’ of individual, provide them with a script, film the audition, and take their contact information.

Whether or not the aspiring actor/model was selected, was left to the casting agent.

At the modeling/talent agency my duties not only included scheduling appointments, but recruiting talent from the outside, and inviting them to the agency for free evaluations.

It wasn’t until I began researching the roles of talent agent, talent scout, personal manager

And modeling and talent agencies, that I discovered that I had worked for agencies that were bogus. And that was 2 months ago, I’ve been working in and around the industry for over 25 years.

One agency, insisted ‘hopefuls’ schedule photo sessions with their in-house photographer, while the second encouraged ‘hopefuls’ to sign up for classes.

Both, were ‘shady’ and operated unethically, but at the time I didn’t know that, and now am sharing my experience of what to look for.

First you should research the agency, on your local Better Business Bureau site, and don’t hesitate to contact the Federal Trade Commission or get online and review www.badbusinessbureau.com

Over the years I would observe individuals that I personally felt were not marketable, and although attractive, were not ‘packaged’ to take that next step.

Many were too willing to do, whatever the Director asked them to do, without really looking at the entire picture.

In both offices the walls were lined with the pictures of soap opera stars, TV commercial actors, and even the face of a recently married star, who married one of the world’s most bankable stars.

However, this woman was not a ‘student’ of the agency, in fact; she was a student of the agency that was purchased by the Director, who was practicing the unethical practices.

Misrepresentation, and it was all done in the presence of parents who should have taken the time to do some research, before coming through the doors.

So anxious to get their children in the business, and open up their purses/wallets for classes and photographs, not aware that, there’s a lot more to getting there than that.

But, the Directors with their sales pitches, convinced many that their child was the next big thing, and if they would just invest a little money in this or that…blahblahblah.

Yes it would cost to take the classes, do the photo sessions, and after all that was done, the dessert prize, you would be invited to showcase your talents to hundreds of talent agents, scouts and managers, but that would be an additional $3,000.00

What always amazed me about this sales pitch was all the parent had to do was look around and see ‘between the lines’.

If I’m going to spend hundreds of dollars on a service, I want to see a couple of things. First why is the agent/staff, walking around in sweat suits every time I come through the door, the reception area is always dirty and unorganized, and worst yet the Directors office is a mess. And I’m not talking about the dust or the dead bugs, I’m talking about the piles of resumes and photos on her desk. Take the time to ask yourself, why would any ‘professional’ present such a mess to a potential customer?

If you’ve spent hundreds of dollars on composites, do you want to see them on someone’s desk in a pile? If this doesn’t matter to you, then it should. It says this, what you bring or leave with me, isn’t important enough to file safely away. What it says is, IF a casting agent called and asked for a particular talent, the Director wouldn’t know what to send, because your picture is buried in a pile.

And finally what this really says is, the resumes/pictures piles here, there, and everywhere, are of individuals who naively thought all they had to do was come in drop off a resume/picture, do a little sit down and that was it, she would call you if anything can in. No, what it really means is, you haven’t enrolled in any classes or scheduled any photo sessions, so if and when anything comes in, you will not be considered.

At one agency, we had the dead pile, and it wasn’t for people who’d passed away, it was ‘hopefuls’ who had refused to pay for classes or photo sessions. The only ‘hopefuls’ that were considered for commercial spots, or pilot auditions, were those individuals who had ‘paid in advance’.

I can’t begin to tell you the individuals that I have had to schedule for classes and photo sessions that had taken the bait.

Models who were 5’1 and overweight, acting students who could barely read and singers who couldn’t sing.

There was a student; I believe she said he was a hip hop dancer. This child was rude and ill mannered, and although the agency offered the basic manners for children, the Director said she was more concerned in enrolling him in another class. Another class!

In other words she didn’t care that he was disrespectful to her staff, interrupted conversations, and was just without home training, she wanted to enroll him in another class. And the classes she wanted him in, had absolutely nothing to do with his dancing.

Yes I have read the stories of talent scouts telling Clint Eastwood, Sophia Loren, and one of the latest American Idols they were all wrong for the business. But, we all know they were wrong.

This method works very well, I have used it numerous times with excellent results. Keep in mind, you will need a LASER PRINTER and LASER PRINTER IRON-ON TRANSFER PAPER. (google it, and just buy basic iron-on transfer paper for use with laser printers. usualy will cost $1.00 per sheet, or less if you purchase a larger quantity. also look on ebay if you want a lot for extremely cheap.)
ALSO, this method is BEST when used on LIGHT colored shirts. White shirts will always turn out best this way, but bright lighter colors will look fine too, as long as the color you are transferring is black.

What to do:

First of all create a digital version of the image, using photoshop or just draw the image, scan it, and touch it up by darkening it using photoshop or something similar.

Once you have the image in digital format, you will need to flip the image to face the opposite direction (the print has to be a mirror image so it will set correctly when ironed into the shirt).

Now, print the image with your laser printer, on to the iron-on transfer sheet.

When complete, use a hard surface, lay cloth down, place the shirt over the cloth, and iron out any wrinkles.

Now take your transfer and place it upside down on the shirt, so that the image will be facing the correct direction.

You will want to iron the edges first, in order to keep the transfer in place, preventing it from slipping and smearing the image on the shirt.
Continue with ironing the rest of the shirt, rotating the iron in small circles until you have ironed the entire surface. The package included with the transfer paper you buy will most likely have thorough ironing instructions, for best results.

Now, while the transfer sheet is still hot, remove it carefully from the shirt. Let the shirt sit for a while to dry.

After about 10 minutes, your shirt should be ready to wear.

The answer is yes and no. Electric yellow or Blue FRY can. In fact I grow my Pseudotropheus Flavus fry, along with any other species I get to spawn in a 15 for about a month. I then move them over to a juvenile grow out tank before I move them to my adult tank. So technically, yeah you can, but they’d have to be fry only. Juveniles and adults just are not going to work, I’m sorry.

I know you may not have room for a larger tank, but that’s really what it’s going to take. If you will not listen or follow this, then get ONE only. I’m sorry but you have to realize this:

With African cichlids, MALES are highly aggressive towards other males. Much like a Betta will not tolerate another Betta in it’s area, a male will fight continuously with any other males if the space is too small and 10 gallons is far too small. The males will see each other all the time and fight, NO MATTER HOW MUCH ROCK YOU PUT IN. It’s just not enough space. And when you buy a young group of Yellow or Blues for that matter, even the most experienced of keepers cannot accurately sex those fish at that age.

I breed several species of Africans, and GENERALLY speaking, you need to have a large group. Usually as my females are all still in their first full year of spawning, I’m getting between 12-18 fry per batch. It takes about a month of grow out to even start to GUESS if there’s males and females. Males will on average grow up and larger much faster then females, but this is not a promise it’s a male. I’m going into this to tell you, in a 10 gallon, even with juveniles, you aren’t going to know until it’s too late.

If you get the 20, you MIGHT be able to move up to 3 with the right amount of cover provided, and it would have to be a 20 long, not high.

Series Llcâ??S: Not Good Enough For The Aba

In the last five years promoters have been touting the benefits of a Series LLC. But in a new report, an American Bar Association Committee has questioned the viability of the Series LLC.

We all know that an LLC can offer significant asset protection for real estate and other assets. If you have three pieces of real estate you form three separate LLC’s for maximum protection. But the series LLC, as claimed by promoters, can offer asset protection without having to form multiple entities. Instead, they claim, you can form just one LLC and place your assets into various series within the LLC where they are protected from each other.

We have never liked the series LLC because conceptually it all doesn’t make sense. If you form one entity and it is sued, all of the assets within that entity are exposed—whether they are in separate series (or buckets or whatever else the promoters use to describe them) or not. Significantly, there is not one court case extending asset protection to assets held in a separate series. I personally do not want to put my assets into an entity and hope for the best in a future court ruling. By using separate LLCs we have the certainty that assets in a remote LLC will not be exposed to claims brought against a target LLC. The series LLC does not offer such certainty.

The Series LLC has also been sold as a state fee savings device. By using a series LLC holding, for example, four assets it is claimed that you only have to pay one filing fee instead of four fees for four separate LLCs. That argument worked until the state of California decided that each series would be taxed as a separate LLC. So instead of paying just $800 for one series LLC in California you would pay, in our four asset example, $3200 for the series—the same as if you’d used four separate LLCs with greater certainty of protection. While not every state is as aggressive a tax collector as California, you can be certain that some will follow suit and charge a filing fee per series.

Due to the issues of asset protection certainty and illusionary filing fee savings, we have not, and will not, prepare series LLCs for our clients.

The American Bar Association (”ABA”) now agrees with this opposition.

As a public service the ABA assists with the drafting of model laws that states can use across the country. Their committee, the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws, approved by the original Uniform Limited Liability Company Act ten years ago. With the increased usage of LLCs, it was time to revise the original act, and the committee spent three years reviewing proposed charges.

Importantly, after looking into the series LLC, the ABA committee decided not to endorse them. The committee noted that the series LLC originated in Delaware for use in mutual fund and structured finance transactions and then stated:

“What’s good for Delaware and highly sophisticated deals is not necessarily good for the LLC law of other states. A philosophy that works wonders for ‘high end’ transactions may be bad medicine for the thousands of more prosaic but nonetheless important closely held businesses that choose to house themselves within the LLCs.”

Concerns about the various unknowns posed by the series LLC were presented. These included whether the supposed “internal liability shield” would be respected in states that do not have series provisions, whether bankruptcy would consolidate all of the series into the parent and the general drafting and record keeping complexities of the series LLC.

In the end, the committee declined to accept the series concept. This is a significant development. When the nation’s brightest lawyers take a three year look and then pass on endorsement of the series LLC everyone—lawyers and clients—should take note.

Buy a 1952 reissue telecaster. My guitar teacher had one of these and I would always play it. It sounded so freakin sweet!!!!!!!
